Svenska kraftnät is one of Sweden's most important actors in sustainable energy transformation. We are facing historically large investments in the transmission grid to enable the electrification of society and secure Sweden's future power supply. Therefore, we are now seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Programme Manager for the Grid Development section. About the Position As Senior Programme Manager, you will be part of our programme organization and report to the programme manager. You are responsible for managing several parallel projects where project managers report to you, and you serve as support in both operational and strategic matters. You represent Svenska kraftnät as the client and have overall responsibility for project delivery regarding schedule, cost, quality, and results. The role involves strategic responsibility where you ensure that projects are driven in line with established goals, directives, and plans while contributing to business development and improved working methods. Your Main Responsibilities Lead and coordinate multiple projects in the transmission grid expansion contractor phase Serve as client representative and take responsibility for project schedule, cost, and delivery Coach, support, and develop project managers within the main project Ensure projects are executed according to approved plans, governing documents, and regulatory requirements Monitor project progress, risks, and financial outcomes Handle negotiations and contract matters related to contractors When needed, act as representative for projects within the main project Work closely with programme management, project managers, contractors, consultants, and line operations Contribute to business development and improved working methods within the section You will be part of the Grid Development section, which consists of five units—three project management units and two construction management units. Depending on where in the country you live, you will be placed in either our North or South unit, with approximately nine project managers and a corresponding number of consultants in each unit. In this role, you will lead some of Sweden's largest transmission grid projects and contribute to developing the future transmission network. At the same time, you will have excellent opportunities to develop your skills in both leadership and project management. Education: You have a university degree in civil engineering, infrastructure, electrical engineering, or another relevant field, or equivalent competence acquired through work experience that Svenska kraftnät considers equivalent. You also have: Multiple years of professional experience with contract law and construction industry standard contracts (such as AB, ABT) At least five years' experience managing large/complex projects in infrastructure or construction At least five years' professional experience procuring large/complex projects in infrastructure or construction Good negotiation skills Good experience working as a representative during the contractor phase Knowledge of AMA and/or similar industry standards B-category driving license Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English Meritorious Qualifications Experience with overhead transmission line projects or similar energy infrastructure Experience in project management within or for public sector operations Experience in a coaching, supporting, or leadership role Experience with large infrastructure projects exceeding 200 million kronor where you held long-term project responsibility Certification or training in project management, such as PMI, IPMA, or equivalent Good to Know The position is located in Stockholm/Sundbyberg, Västerås, Göteborg, Sundsvall, Luleå, or Sollefteå Opportunity for remote work up to 50%, if work allows. #LI-hybrid.
