In Sandviken's municipal primary schools, we work in a culture where collaboration and systematic quality work go hand in hand. Here we create a safe and supportive environment with high expectations, which gives students good opportunities to reach their goals. Digital development has long been a natural part of our operations, and each student has access to their own computer as a tool in teaching. Our shared values and an organization with close decision-making channels contribute to participation, clarity, and good opportunities for development.
Vallhovskolan is located in the residential area Vallhov. The school was built in 1995 and is Sandviken's newest school. The school yard is directly adjacent to forest, a toboggan slope, and a soccer field. The school has approximately 260 students and about 40 employees who together work to create a safe and accessible learning environment. Here we make each other better.

JOB DUTIES
As a substitute teacher, you are a flexible resource who covers for regular staff absences. You work in different grade levels and subjects, which means you need to quickly familiarize yourself with new situations and create structure in the classroom.
You contribute by:
• Creating safety and a productive work atmosphere for students in different teaching situations
• Supporting students in their learning and social development
• Collaborating with colleagues to reach common goals
• Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment

• Sharing experiences and knowledge in open forums
• Supporting each other through challenges and development
• Working together so all students succeed
QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in this role, you need to be good at collaborating and building positive relationships with both students and colleagues. Attentiveness and clear communication are important to contribute to a safe and functioning environment. It also requires pedagogical understanding of how people learn in different ways, so that teaching can be adapted to students' needs. A structured work approach with planning and organization makes it easier to manage the assignment and create a productive classroom atmosphere.
The assignment requires:
• Teacher certification
• Good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written
It is meritious to have previous experience working in schools as well as good IT skills.
It is meritious to have qualification as a recreational teacher, and we welcome teacher certification in Swedish for younger ages (F-3).
