Employment Information Employment type: Permanent position starting with possible probationary period Employment period/Start date: As soon as possible by agreement Full-time Number of positions: 1-3 Application deadline: 2026-10-07 Location: Västerås Department: HR Department Job Duties The HR Partner works in close collaboration with managers at various levels and is their primary HR contact. The role represents the employer and acts on behalf of HR management and reports to the unit manager. The HR Partner has no line responsibility, but a clear responsibility for: - Translating operational needs into HR support and HR strategies into operational HR support - Providing qualified advice on employer matters - Ensuring correct application of regulations - Contributing to the implementation of HR strategies and decisions in practice within operations This includes, among other things: - Providing qualified and operationally relevant support to managers throughout the employment cycle, including advice within the main HR processes as well as matters related to leadership, work environment, rehabilitation, transition, and conflict management - Guiding managers in complex personnel matters and employment law issues in collaboration with HR colleagues and HR management, as well as providing support in matters according to the Co-determination in the Workplace Act and contributing HR expertise in meetings - Supporting managers in systematic work environment efforts and preventive occupational health and safety work, as well as driving and following up rehabilitation processes together with occupational health services - Contributing to workforce planning through staffing, recruitment, and onboarding as well as supporting the development of leadership, talent development, succession planning, and competence development - Implementing HR strategies, policies, and working methods in operations, ensuring equitable and legally sound HR application, and capturing and forwarding operational needs to HR management - Developing, following up, and improving HR processes, including work with HR data, digital tools, and AI, as well as contributing to the implementation of guidelines and new working methods - Participating in and sometimes leading HR projects and development initiatives as well as facilitating dialogues and initiatives that strengthen managers' assignments and develop HR support - Administrative tasks Qualifications We are looking for someone with: - An academic degree in behavioral science, personnel science, or what the employer deems as equivalent - Several years of experience in qualified HR work in the public sector - Experience working closely with managers in a development-oriented and consultative approach based on their assignment as employer representatives - Good knowledge of employment law - Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English - Good knowledge of employment law and collective agreements - Good digital competence and high ability to use HR systems and digital tools as a natural part of your work Meritorious For this position, it is meritorious to have: - Experience in HR work in state administration - Good knowledge of state employment law and collective agreements - Experience from a university or college - Previous management responsibility - Experience with recruitment in an academic context - Experience working in and with management and leadership groups - Experience participating in digital development work of HR processes Personal Competencies In an overall assessment of suitability, emphasis is also placed on personal competencies.
