Do you want to build a modern and operationally integrated HR function in an organization with high ambitions? British Schools is now seeking an experienced HR Director who wants to take broad responsibility for HR while also helping develop the organization's approaches, leadership, and structures. This is a role for someone who enjoys combining strategic HR work with operational implementation. You'll be a close support to the CEO and management team while having the opportunity to drive the HR function forward. Here you'll find both an organization to learn and an HR function to further develop. About the Role As HR Director, you'll have broad and operationally integrated responsibility for HR matters within the organization. You'll work closely with the CEO, principals, and managers, serving as a qualified sounding board for both daily personnel issues and longer-term organizational questions. An important part of the assignment is to create clear, effective, and sustainable HR processes that make it easier for managers and employees to do the right thing. You'll therefore maintain, develop, and sometimes build new processes. In the role, you'll work with, among other things: qualified management support and advice labor law and personnel matters occupational health and rehabilitation organizational and leadership questions development of HR processes, policies, and approaches talent acquisition and recruitment change and development projects HR systems, HR data, and follow-up compensation from a comprehensive perspective matters related to the organization's continued development You'll also be an important person in strengthening collaboration and creating common approaches within the organization. More Than a Traditional HR Role We're not looking for someone who wants to sit on the sidelines of operations and wait for HR questions to come to you. We're looking for someone curious about the business, who sees what needs to be developed, and who works with managers to turn needs into practical change. You need to be able to shift between perspectives. One moment you might be a sounding board on a strategic organizational issue, and the next you might support a manager with a concrete personnel matter. For us, this is a natural part of really good HR work. Who Are We Looking For? We believe you have several years of experience in qualified and broad HR work and are confident in areas such as labor law, management support, occupational health, and personnel processes. You have experience with management group work, have worked closely with managers and leadership, and are used to independently handling complex matters. You also have experience developing approaches and processes and enjoy going from idea to actual change. Relevant academic education in HR/Personnel, Behavioral Science, Labor Law, or similar is suitable for the role. Experience from preschool or primary school operations is particularly valuable, as is experience from other personnel-intensive operations. To Succeed With Us You're a confident person with integrity and a strong ability to build trust. You dare to say what you think and make professional judgments, but you also understand that real change is rarely created by overriding people. Therefore, you combine gravitas with attentiveness. You're organized and results-oriented and enjoy creating order and clarity. At the same time, you're pragmatic and understand that HR processes should improve operations, not create administration for administration's sake. Above all, you're action-oriented. You see what needs to be done, prioritize, and make things happen. Why This Could Be the Right Role for You Here you'll get an HR role with the opportunity to truly make an impact. You'll be close to operations and decisions and work with a leadership team that wants to continue developing the organization. There's a clear ambition to create an even more professional, cohesive, and sustainable organization where HR is a natural part of business development. For the right person, there's therefore an opportunity to both make a difference here and now and establish structures that will have significance far into the future. Practical Information The position is a full-time employment based on operations in Eskilstuna. You don't necessarily need to live in Eskilstuna, but since the role is operationally integrated, you need to be able to regularly be on-site.
