This position is a temporary assignment at the reception desk in Sundsvall with the possibility of extension or extension on an hourly basis. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS Employees at the Police Authority's service centers are the face of the organization and often the first contact for the public—an important point of contact. The operations are both a governmental function and a service function with accessibility for both external and internal service. Serving as a case handler at the Police's service center is meaningful work in strengthening confidence in police operations by demonstrating commitment, quality, and security in case handling combined with efficiency and courteous treatment. As a case handler at the Police's service center, you will have an important role within the Police's service mandate. Main work tasks: • Handle both applications and issuance of passports and national ID cards • Receive and register reports from the public • Manage lost and found items • Receive permit documents, accept weapon submissions, dispute parking fines, request public records, and issue extracts from the criminal record register • Communication with internal and external stakeholders, both through in-person meetings and through various communication channels, such as email, phone, and social media • Additional work tasks occur as the flow of cases varies greatly. A prerequisite for you to begin work as a case handler at the reception desk is that you are approved and certified in the mandatory internal training that begins the first two weeks. The training may take place at another location or digitally. Work hours at the reception desk are primarily scheduled during daytime, however, evening shifts and weekend work may occur. QUALIFICATIONS This is an opportunity for you if you have: • Completed high school education or equivalent knowledge acquired through studies. • Current work experience in service and administration similar to reception work with many external direct contacts in the form of personal meetings that the employer considers relevant for the position. • Good knowledge of Swedish and English both spoken and written. • Good computer skills and ability to quickly learn new IT systems • Class B driver's license Meritorious • Have current experience with administrative work that the employer deems relevant for the position • Current experience working in reception that the employer deems relevant for the position • Have knowledge/skills regarding relevant police data systems such as RES, Durtvå, lost and found, PÄR, etc. • Work experience from a public agency or administration that the employer deems relevant, with experience from the Police Authority prioritized. • Work experience with and/or knowledge of law or legal work. • Speaks additional languages that the employer deems relevant beyond Swedish and English where you can use the language in your professional practice Personal Qualities As a case handler at the reception desk, commitment, availability, and efficiency are required. It is important that you have a service-oriented, structured, and flexible approach as well as good teamwork skills since you work closely with your colleagues.
