Job Description As a case officer at the Foreign Direct Investment Unit (UDI), you review incoming notifications of foreign direct investments in Sweden and investigate whether they need to be scrutinized to protect Sweden's security. You are an important part of the operational work and are responsible for processing a high volume of cases to identify any need for further examination. This involves both routine reviews and more in-depth investigations in certain cases, as well as risk and vulnerability analyses. You also prepare decision proposals, which requires precision and efficiency. The role involves collaboration with other functions within ISP and in some cases other government agencies and international partners. Part of the work concerns information exchange between EU member states and the EU Commission regarding foreign direct investments in protected sectors. You are also expected to participate in the development of working methods and processes within the unit. Qualifications Academic degree in social sciences, political science, business economics, or another relevant field, or alternatively work experience that can be assessed as equivalent Experience with independent case handling and investigative work Very good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in both Swedish and English Meritorious Experience with government authority work as a case officer at a state agency Experience in preparing written decision materials and presenting them orally Work experience in security policy, international relations, economic security, critical infrastructure, emerging technologies, defense equipment, or dual-use products Experience working with case management systems Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who can independently plan and prioritize among parallel tasks and complete them within given timeframes. You are analytical and can draw conclusions from large complex materials, and you are meticulous with details to ensure quality. You work well with others to achieve common goals. The Work Group As a case officer within UDI, you will be part of a work group with other case officers. Welcome to us! About Employment at ISP The position is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date is by mutual agreement. Employment includes an obligation to be available for wartime placement. To work with us, Swedish citizenship is required. The position is classified for security purposes, and a security clearance with background check will be conducted before an employment decision is made. Since a large part of the work involves classified information, the possibility of remote work is very limited. About ISP ISP is a government agency with a focus on security and foreign policy.
