Would you like to work with monitoring and conservation management in protected areas? You will be part of the Natural Resource Management Unit, which currently consists of 16 employees. The unit works with measures related to protected nature, the national trail system, and nature supervision. About the job Management and development of protected areas through conservation management. Planning of measures such as controlled burning, hay cutting, boundary marking, and removal of contorta and fencing. Temporary local project manager for the EU Life2Taiga project. Procure and request services, write agreements with contractors, and follow up on these. Documentation, reporting, and case management. Continuous business development Coordinate activities with other assignments within the unit and the regional administration. Responsible for reporting of activities both externally and internally. The work is constantly evolving and based on our mission, work tasks may change over time. You therefore need to be able to handle changes. At the same time, it gives you opportunities to develop and both broaden and deepen your skills with us. About you We are looking for you who: Have higher education appropriate for the work tasks, preferably in forestry, ecology, or biology. Have documented good computer skills in Microsoft Office programs and GIS. Can express yourself in a well-considered, simple, and clear manner both verbally and in writing. Have documented experience of collaborating and communicating with different target groups in your work. Have at least a category B driver's license. As a person, you can work in a structured and thorough manner and prioritize and take your own initiative. You can independently manage your own work areas but also enjoy collaborating in a team. You will also have contact with many members of the public, which is why we place great importance on social competence, judgment, and communication skills. It is meritorious if you: Have knowledge of protected nature. Have knowledge of public procurement. Have experience in government work. Have experience working in EU-financed projects. Have experience working in the field.
