Read more about our municipality at www.lekeberg.se The Community Development Administration encompasses the departments of Technology and Service, Culture and Leisure, the Public Health Unit, and the Building and Environment Department, which is under development. Currently, approximately 90 employees work in the Community Development Administration. Certain positions are security-classified, which means that for some of the municipality's positions, a security screening interview may be part of the recruitment process. The Street/Park Unit, within the Technology and Service Department, is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the municipality's public areas and facilities such as playgrounds, parks, squares, and bathing areas. We also manage the municipality's properties and outdoor environments at, among others, schools and preschools. The unit is also responsible for certain vehicle management as well as forest and nature conservation. Street/Park is looking for a park worker who wants to be part of our work team year-round. As a permanent employee with us, you will work on the operation, maintenance, and development of the municipality's green spaces, parks, bathing areas, and outdoor environments. The work is practical, varied, and performed mainly outdoors – perfect for you if you enjoy active work and want to contribute to a safe and welcoming municipal environment. Everyone in the work team participates in our shared tasks within green space maintenance. We are looking for someone who is handy, technically oriented, and confident in performing minor repairs on playground equipment. You also have an interest in the maintenance, supervision, and function checks of playgrounds and fitness equipment. These competencies complement the work team's overall needs and do not entail a separate assignment or special compensation. You will work, just like your colleagues, on all existing tasks within green space maintenance, but contribute your expertise when needed. You are responsible, together with colleagues, for ensuring that work tasks are performed correctly, safely, and with good quality. The role involves participating in the planning of daily work and contributing to a positive work environment. You will also meet citizens and visitors in the municipality, which requires professional and service-oriented conduct. Examples of work tasks: Green space maintenance — grass cutting, trimming, weed control Bush and hedge care — pruning, formal clipping, maintenance Planting work — watering, care of trees and plantings Cleaning — sweeping, emptying trash bins, leaf management Bathing area maintenance — supervision of docks, beaches, and surrounding areas Machine operation — equipment carriers, tractors, and other work machines depending on season and needs Technical maintenance — repair and minor repairs to playground equipment and fitness equipment. Qualifications Requirements: Completed upper secondary education, Class B driver's license and ability/permission to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles, Knowledge/training in gardening, green space maintenance, or property management, or alternatively at least 2 years of experience in green space maintenance, Swimming proficiency, Merits: Qualified to conduct safety inspections of playgrounds and fitness equipment according to Swedish standards (SS‑EN 1176, SS‑EN 1177, and SS‑EN 16630). At least two years of experience in assembly and repair of playground equipment and fitness equipment.
