JOB DUTIES
You will work with young people in the individual program at Frejagymnasiet, Mölndal's adapted upper secondary school.
Your job duties include assisting students in instruction under the guidance of teachers and/or independently, as well as providing support during breaks and other parts of the school day when needed. The work involves meeting students with extensive and varying support needs. Situations may occur where students display challenging or externalizing behaviors, which requires a safe, professional, and calm approach.
We would like to see that you have previously worked with students with intellectual disabilities and have knowledge of and experience meeting young people with autism.
You have a good ability to collaborate and take your own initiative to solve problems. You can meet each student based on their individual circumstances and help develop the student's independence as well as social and academic skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with:
• Experience working with children, young people, or adults with extensive intellectual disabilities (ID).
• Experience working with students or individuals who may display externalizing behavior.
• Knowledge of care and autism.
• Knowledge of sign language as support and/or alternative communication methods.
• Understanding of how intellectual and cognitive disabilities can affect an individual's everyday life.
You take responsibility for both your own and shared work duties and use a calm approach with the students' best interests in focus. You are positive, attentive, and structured, and have a pedagogical approach in your interactions.
You express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing, as this is required in daily work.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: start: As soon as possible by agreement. Fixed-term employment at 85% with retention benefit. Possibility for extension. End date: 2026-12-31.
