SKF Tekniska Gymnasium is a small, centrally located upper secondary school with a technical focus and a sustainable profile. The school is owned by SKF Sverige AB and has existed since 1937. Our pedagogy is based on combining theory with practice. We believe that technical expertise consists of these components, and by combining them we achieve the best possible results. The future needs creative and independent technicians, and that's what we educate for. Our programs provide both university eligibility and vocational competence. The school is personal in nature with approximately 90 students. We offer work-based learning at SKF Sverige AB and an extended internship abroad in year three. SKF Tekniska Gymnasium is a certified Tekniccollege and we have won several national awards and recognition. We are now seeking a High School Teacher in Swedish and English (substitute position for the 2026-2027 school year) As a small school with strong community spirit, you will follow students' development closely. Our experience shows that accuracy and clarity are important when working with young people, so you need to be organized and structured for this role, but at the same time we want you to be creative in your teaching. You should be comfortable working independently as well as collaborating with others. If you are also qualified and certified in Swedish and English, that is a merit in a longer-term perspective. This position is a full-time substitute (100%) for the 2026-2027 school year, starting in December. Main Areas of Responsibility To independently teach and take responsibility for English courses level 1-3 and one or more of the Swedish courses level 1-3 within the upper secondary school's Industrial Technical and Technical programs. To have a teaching and mentoring function, possibly mentorship. To participate in working group meetings. To follow the school's policies and guidelines and participate in joint development work and projects. Job Requirements You speak and write Swedish and English fluently. English is our group language. Swedish upper secondary teacher education and teacher certification. Preferably a few years of teaching experience, but newly graduated applicants are also welcome to apply. Personal Qualities Initiative and good collaboration skills. A team player. Good communication skills and pedagogical competence. Organized and structured. Strong leadership qualities where you can lead by example based on the curriculum's values.
