At Vadsbogymnasiet in Mariestad, we offer eleven national programs, both college-preparatory and vocational. The school also features sports specialization, youth entrepreneurship, and program certifications. Today we have over 700 students and approximately 75 educators. We work together in program teams, close to the principal and the various professions within student support. We are now seeking a teacher in English and French. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a teacher of English and French at Vadsbogymnasiet, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction for students in both college-preparatory and academic programs. Vadsbogymnasiet is a school characterized by safety and an orderly learning environment where students and staff thrive and can focus on learning and education. The school has low teacher turnover. QUALIFICATIONS First and foremost, we are looking for someone with teacher certification and experience teaching English and French at the high school level. If you have worked as a teacher or substitute, mentor, or in another role where you have had the opportunity to guide, support, and motivate young people toward established goals, we welcome your application. We are looking for someone who is confident both as a person and in your teaching role and who always puts the student's needs at the center. You are a dedicated teacher with a genuine interest in your subjects and understand that good relationships with students are an important foundation for student learning. It is important that you have the ability and desire to create motivation, enthusiasm, and energy in your students. You can work independently while recognizing the value of collaborating with your teaching colleagues and other professionals at the school to develop instruction and the program, and to create excellent conditions for students to achieve their goals.
