JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Water and Sewerage Department within the Community Development Administration supplies towns with drinking water, manages and treats wastewater and stormwater, and produces biogas. The department actively works to develop and improve operations to meet future challenges with sustainable and secure water supply in our growing municipality. The Water and Sewerage Department currently has approximately 70 employees, and you will be part of the Pipe Network Unit, which is responsible for pipe networks and stormwater facilities.
As a group leader, you will be responsible for planning and distributing work tasks for the pipe network group for operation and maintenance work on the water and sewerage pipe network. This includes handling acute leaks, maintaining pipes and associated equipment, performing planned renovations of existing pipe sections, and laying new water and sewerage pipes. In your role as group leader, you will also be responsible for certain workplace safety tasks specific to the operation. You will be the department manager's extended arm in the field and will communicate the group's suggestions for developing and improving operations. You will also collaborate with other colleagues in the department, primarily within the Pipe Network Unit, on technical matters.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with relevant education in water and sewerage engineering, civil engineering, or equivalent work experience in the operation and maintenance of water and sewerage pipe networks. You have good knowledge of laws, regulations, and standards within the water and sewerage field. We see that you have good administrative ability and experience in planning, documenting, reporting, and following up on work tasks, and using digital tools for information searches and reporting.
Great importance will be placed on personal qualities. We see that you are a structured and solution-oriented person with the ability to make decisions even under time pressure. You are engaged and have good collaboration skills, and you find it easy to establish contacts and relationships that contribute to good cooperation. With a coaching leadership style, you have the ability to develop operations and create well-being and team spirit in the work group, as well as contribute to a safe work environment. You are thorough and always strive to achieve good results. Good Swedish in speech and writing. B driving license required.
