General Pension is one of the Swedish Pensions Agency's largest departments with approximately 400 employees and operates at 8 locations from Luleå in the north to Halmstad in the south. The General Pension Department is responsible for ensuring the processing and managing payments for Sweden's pensioners and pension savers. The mandate also includes ensuring that overpayments are not made and preventing benefit fraud. The department is undergoing a major transformation where our vision is to strengthen our employees and organization to better meet our customers where they are. We are now seeking a Group Manager for Växjö. About the job Together with other group managers, you have overall responsibility for operations within the unit and participate in a management group where you contribute to strategic work. Based on a clear employer role, you have personnel, results, and monitoring responsibility for approximately 20 employees within your area of responsibility and lead the operational work. You are also responsible for ensuring that operations are conducted with high quality, service, efficiency, and cost-awareness. Several of our meetings are held digitally, but physical meetings also take place, which means travel is part of the role. You will lead through change and clearly communicate vision, goals, and values to your employees. As a manager at the Swedish Pensions Agency, you also have responsibility for driving active workplace environment and health initiatives and contributing to creating a developmental workplace. You are responsible for creating conditions through dialogue so that employees can and want to take responsibility for their assignments, goals, and competence development. Your profile You have previous management experience where your leadership is based on a trust-based approach. You have the knowledge and ability to lead change in customer-focused operations. You have good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You have an academic degree that the employer considers relevant. It is advantageous if you have experience leading process-driven operations with large case flows. It is also advantageous if you have experience in a management position focusing on personnel matters such as: rehabilitation, workplace environment, recruitment, salary setting, coaching, and representing the employer. The position is located in Växjö. The employment may be placed in a security clearance classification. The Swedish Pensions Agency is responsible for the general pension and provides information about the entire pension. Every year we pay out approximately 415 billion kronor to 2.3 million pensioners, process approximately 911,000 fund switches, and send out 8 million orange envelopes. We have approximately 25 million digital customer contacts per year. We are approximately 1,700 employees at eight locations, from Luleå in the north to Halmstad in the south.
