We are now seeking a goal-oriented and driven group manager to work together with our current school leadership to develop and lead our operations into the future. About the Position The role of group manager covers courses within SFI (Swedish for Immigrants) and basic adult education. As a group manager, your main responsibilities will be: Responsible for operational planning of the school's activities, including planning and coordination of student intake and courses. Provide close leadership in the operation with a focus on students' learning environment and wellbeing. Manage personnel responsibilities, conduct and follow up on employee conversations, salary discussions, and other matters related to personnel management. Monitor attendance, instruction, and working environment. Drive operational improvements and quality initiatives in accordance with the school's goals. Serve as the primary contact person for staff in daily operations and handle ongoing personnel matters. Participate in the Student Support Team and handle student matters in dialogue with the principal. Function as the principal's deputy when needed. Within Folkuniversitetet in Region West, we conduct adult education and SFI at four locations. You will report to the principal. Your Qualifications and Background We are looking for someone with a university or college degree with a pedagogical focus and experience leading educational activities; at minimum two years in upper secondary education or municipal adult education. You should have good knowledge of the government regulations that govern schools and specifically adult education, and be well-acquainted with municipal framework agreements that regulate adult education. Experience with pedagogical development is a merit. As a group manager, you are expected to have excellent ability to collaborate with people you meet, both internally and externally. You should be goal-oriented and results-driven, as well as be an organized and clear leader. It is important that you have the ability to focus on operational development and problem-solving, often at a fast pace.
