The Workplace
Artediskolan 7-9 is a school with approximately 200 students located in central Nordmaling. Together with qualified colleagues, we work to create the best possible conditions for student learning.
Artediskolan 7-9 is a three-parallel middle school with facilities well-suited for instruction. The school is located near sports facilities, municipal meeting spaces, a library, and nature. The school conducts development work in collaboration with Umeå University and also has well-established partnerships with local businesses in Nordmaling and other collaborative partners.
The Role and Responsibilities
In your role as a subject teacher in mathematics and science, you will work together with other staff to oversee and develop pedagogical learning. Therefore, we want you to be a driving and inspiring team player who can see how small changes can lead to improved teaching. We have appropriate facilities in the school outside the classrooms and in the classrooms, as well as access to a swimming hall, sports hall, and beautiful forest areas.
Planning time for your assignment will be scheduled during workplace-based working hours.
With us, you will:
- Plan and lead instruction in mathematics and science. In both mathematics and science, there are several subject colleagues to collaborate with.
- Work to continuously follow up on and assess students' knowledge.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents/guardians to promote student development.
- Serve as a mentor to a grade 8 class.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who holds a primary school teacher degree in mathematics and science with qualifications up to grade 9.
It is advantageous if you have experience working with children and young people of different ages.
We are looking for someone with a relational approach to your students and a genuine interest in student learning. You are a clear leader with good foresight and structure, and you have good communication with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues. You take responsibility and work independently, are flexible, and have an interest in developing the team's collective work.

The Employment
Fixed-term employment, 100%. Start date November 2, 2026 through June 18, 2027 (with possible extension).
Prior to employment in school, a certificate from the criminal record registry must be presented in accordance with applicable legislation. The certificate must be presented to the employer before employment begins to ensure safety and security for children and students.
