We are looking for you to transform the classroom into a vibrant workshop of color, form, and digital creation to inspire students to use other forms of expression as well.
You should be engaged, relational, and driven by seeing students succeed in their schoolwork.
Responsible for planning, implementation, and follow-up of instruction in your subject(s).
You should, among other things, be accustomed to:
• Teaching students everything from classic crafting techniques to modern digital image editing and moving images in a way that engages students.
• Using digital tools as a natural extension of the analog palette.
• Collaborating with colleagues in other subjects and taking advantage of aesthetic learning processes throughout the school's activities.
• Actively participating in the school's pedagogical development work and networking with other art teachers in the municipality.
QUALIFICATIONS
You must have Swedish teaching certification in the subject of art for grades 4-9. If you also have certification in other subjects such as Swedish as a Second Language and mathematics, that is a merit.
You have experience in the subject and are curious and willing to challenge yourself and students in instruction.
You are accustomed to:
• Meeting each student with respect and have an ability to see the individual's unique strengths.
• Building a permissive environment in instruction where students dare to try, fail, and grow.
• Participating in interesting collegial discussions, sharing your thoughts, and being solution-oriented.
• Maintaining order and creating a focused learning environment while allowing creativity to flourish.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Start date: August 11, 2026, or by agreement.
