We are now seeking a middle school teacher for Katarinaskolan with broad qualifications, with core subjects in mathematics, Swedish, and English.
At Katarinaskolan, we have subject teachers and mentors instead of traditional classes, which allows our subject teachers to both deepen and develop their teaching. In each grade level, 4-6 pedagogues work together, and there is access to special education teachers in both mathematics and Swedish. The work teams and subject teams form the backbone of our development work; we believe that close collaboration among teachers leads to lifelong learning for educators and raises students' knowledge development far higher than if each teacher works independently.
You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction in accordance with the curriculum's objectives and other governing documents. The work takes place in close cooperation with the grade level work team, where all pedagogues share collective responsibility for all students in the grade. You are also responsible for collaborating with students, guardians, and other relevant stakeholders to create a safe and developmentally supportive environment for students.
The position also includes a mentorship role where your task is to follow the student's school progress with regard to attendance, academic results, well-being and satisfaction, and to ensure that the student's specific needs are met.
