The Education Division has over 1,900 employees, and together we work to provide children, young people, and adults with quality education. Our focus is to stimulate students' learning and development based on their individual circumstances. We provide some of society's most important services, and you can be assured that your work will play a significant role in many people's lives. We are responsible for 31 preschools, 17 elementary schools, adapted elementary school, Nyköping Upper Secondary School, adapted upper secondary school, and adult education at Campus Nyköping. Nyköping is developing, with more construction than ever before, more people choosing to move here, and our school organization is growing. We are now recruiting a principal for District D. 1 position(s). DUTIES We are looking for someone who wants to work on the issues facing a modern school, who has experience leading staff and can work together with parents for the children's benefit. We are seeking someone who, together with the existing school leadership, wants to lead the school's development forward. You will have the opportunity to work in operations-focused pedagogical leadership and in a team. One development area is the district's student health work, where the goal is to have preventive and health-promoting student health services that enable early interventions and high-quality remedial work. As a principal in the elementary school, you have a holistic perspective with equity in focus for all elementary schools in the municipality. As principal, you report to the School Director and are part of the leadership team for Nyköping's elementary schools. You actively contribute to a leadership organization in close collaboration with principals in other principal districts. The leadership team meets weekly and works together with school directors on organizational matters. You are responsible for quality, organization, finances, and staffing within your principal district. Together with assistant principals at the school units, you form the leadership team for your principal district. The district has its own administrator and there are comprehensive support functions available for your work. In your role as principal, you are responsible for school quality and results and for driving overall pedagogical development processes. You create the conditions for the Education Act and the goals in the curriculum to be met. QUALIFICATIONS You have a pedagogical university degree and experience in leadership within school/education. It is advantageous if you have completed the national principal training program. You need to have knowledge and/or experience with: · systematic quality work and development work · work environment, personnel responsibility, staffing, and recruitment · finances and budget management, resource allocation, and financial follow-up You have the ability to clarify politically and nationally established goals and frameworks, and you take responsibility for implementing these goals in daily work. As a leader, you take responsibility for creating the best conditions so that both assistant principals and all staff in the schools find their work meaningful, feel recognized, and have the opportunity to actively influence their daily work. You are a clear leader with good judgment and personal maturity. Since you collaborate with many people in your role as principal, you need to be good at cooperation and have strong ability to create and maintain professional relationships. A strong belief in teamwork and collegial learning as a success factor for pedagogical development is essential for you. You also have genuine commitment to leadership and understand the value of good communication, and you have a sense of structure and organization. We are looking for someone who is driven and wants to make a difference. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Permanent position. Duration: Indefinite, start date: by agreement.
