Ref: 20262008 Job Responsibilities We are now recruiting an elementary teacher for after-school program (grades F-3) at Högaholmsskolan! The team consists of dedicated staff members who look forward to your participation in planning the educational work. In your role, you are responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing students in our after-school program. Based on the curriculum and our policy documents, you create an environment in the after-school program that aims to strengthen our students in both their knowledge development and personal growth. As an elementary teacher in after-school program with us, you should also work to offer our students a meaningful leisure time. This includes encouraging diverse interactions, social community, and strengthening group relationships. While our students are in school, you collaborate with our school staff. It may also be relevant that you conduct teaching in one or more subjects during the students' school time. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a certified elementary teacher in after-school programs. It is a merit if you have previous work experience in the field. You have good insight and knowledge of the school's policy documents and apply them in daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical abilities that enable you to independently lead and organize your work to create a good study environment and learning climate for our students throughout the day. You are creative and can adapt your approach and pedagogical methods and techniques based on the individual student's or student group's needs. You develop the educational activities to be both enjoyable, inspiring, and challenging, and you build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. About the Workplace In January 2024, we opened Högaholmsskolan in new, beautiful premises. Located in green Lindängen, Högaholmsskolan is a multicultural F-6 school with approximately 450 students. Here there are, among other things, fine classrooms that are well-insulated and sound-damped, which contributes to a pleasant learning environment with good study conditions. Here you will find science/art room, home economics room, wood and metal and textile craft room, music room, and a school library. Högaholmsskolan after-school program consists of three independent units that work together with the lower grade levels during the school day.
