Jelgava City Municipality Education Department invites applications for an Accountant position (fixed-term) Job Responsibilities: Manage the accounting, recording, and write-off of intangible assets, fixed assets, and inventories in Jelgava City Municipality educational institutions. Ensure the conduct of inventory verification for intangible assets, fixed assets, inventories, cash funds, and documents in Jelgava City Municipality educational institutions. Organize, review, compile, and analyze the results of completed inventory verification. Continuously monitor contract execution with materially responsible persons at educational institutions. Participate in the preparation of annual reports and their appendices. Participate in the preparation of statistical reports. Perform other tasks related to accounting activities. Requirements for Candidates: Education in accordance with Section 34(2)(1) of the Accounting Law. Previous experience in an accountant position is desirable. Experience working with the resource management and accounting software "HORIZON", as well as MS Word and MS Excel. State language proficiency at the highest level. Strong analytical skills, accuracy, high responsibility, ability to plan work, results-oriented approach. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. We Offer: Full-time position (40 hours per week). Fixed-term employment contract. Monthly salary EUR 1518 (gross) per month (job code 4311 01, position classified in the 17th family, Level III, 8th salary group). Health insurance after the probation period.
