CITY DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION The City Development Administration consists of four departments working with planning and development, environment and building permits, technical matters, and geographic information. GEOINFO Geoinfo consists of eight employees and a manager. It is both Staffanstorp's and Kävlinge municipalities' Surveying and Mapping Department, which consists partly of a GIS section and partly a Surveying section. We are located in both the Town Hall in Staffanstorp and the Municipal Office in Kävlinge. The operation is half self-financed, and our focus is quality, service, and satisfied clients. We now want to strengthen GIS expertise together in two of Skåne's growth municipalities! 1 position(s). DUTIES As a GIS developer with us, you work on creating and processing geographic information that serves as decision-making information and support for the organization. You often visualize and present the results in the municipality's comprehensive GIS platform. You make it possible for case handlers in Staffanstorp and Kävlinge municipalities to collect their own operational data in a simple way using user-friendly GIS applications. You see the value in automation and digitalization of work processes, recognize the potential of geographic information in them, and want to work actively to spread it throughout the organization. Geoinfo currently has an FME municipal license and works actively with this. Your work tasks included in the position: • Create customized GIS solutions in the ESRI platform, FME, and using for example Python, JavaScript, or SQL programming • Automate processes, workflows, and data management with FME • Publishing to web maps, map production, data extraction, and GIS analyses. Geoinfo has an important function in both municipalities, and as a GIS developer/GIS engineer, you get the opportunity to work with a wide variety of tasks that can also be adapted based on your experience and interests, all to contribute to the development of operations to the greatest extent possible. In addition to Geoinfo, you collaborate extensively with other case handlers, particularly in the City Development Administration in Staffanstorp and the Infrastructure Sector in Kävlinge, but also with other administrations in both municipalities. An important part of our work is to spread GIS work to other administrations and facilitate their operations. The GIS section at Geoinfo also serves as a competence center for both municipalities and supports both municipalities in projects involving GIS, both to spread GIS knowledge and to create better products for our residents. QUALIFICATIONS We see that you have: • An academic degree or equivalent in an area deemed relevant by the employer for the position • Experience or interest in one or more of the following areas: systems management, geographic information, documentation, automation processes, web maps, map production, real estate law, information security, Python, FME, and SQL.
