Children and Youth Rehabilitation (BUH) is a specialist unit within regional healthcare that provides support to children and young people aged 0-21 and their families. The unit serves children and young people with congenital or early-acquired disabilities that are permanent and require multiprofessional interventions to help manage difficulties in everyday life. In addition to its core mission, the unit is responsible for the special assignments: Eating Team, Rehabilitation Team, and Risk Child Follow-up. Organizationally, the unit is divided into a children's team, youth team, and two autism teams with an overarching medical coordination group distributed across the teams. The unit consists of 45 employees distributed across the following positions: occupational therapist, physical therapist/physiotherapist, dietitian, speech-language pathologist, psychologist, social worker, childcare worker, special education teacher, pediatric nurse, urotherapy specialist, pediatric neurologist, with administrative support from a medical secretary. Services are provided in the form of multiprofessional teams to the child/young person and their network. Children and Youth Rehabilitation is part of the Children and Young Adults (BUV) area, together with Adult Rehabilitation, Parent and Child Health, and Child and Youth Psychiatry. These four units are co-located centrally at Köpmangatan 24 in Östersund. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES As a physical therapist at Children and Youth Rehabilitation, your work will focus on children and young people with disabilities. You will work in a multiprofessional team where you provide interventions that contribute to the individual's health and development, based on each child/young person's specific needs, goals, and circumstances. Work as a physical therapist includes patient contact, both individual and group-based. Job duties include assessment and treatment, at the clinic, during home visits, preschool visits, and school visits. In addition to direct patient contact, the work includes providing information, guidance, and knowledge sharing to the child/young person, their family, and network. The work also includes general team tasks. The position is at Children and Youth Rehabilitation. The current position is primarily placed in the autism team, with collaboration across team boundaries and with colleagues in other teams. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed physical therapist/physiotherapist. Previous experience working with children and young people with autism and mental health issues is advantageous. We would appreciate if you have knowledge of adapted physical activity, motivational interviewing, and body awareness. You should also have an interest in being part of a multiprofessional team and collaborating with your own profession. The work involves high demands on the ability to work independently and create structure, both for your own planning and in collaboration with colleagues. Great consideration will be given to personal suitability, work experience, and collaboration skills. B-driver's license is required. Employment type: Permanent position.
