Physical Therapy Specialized Care Gävleborg is responsible for providing physical therapy to inpatient and outpatient patients within specialized care at Gävle Hospital, Tullhuset, and Sandviken Hospital. JOB DUTIES As a physical therapist in cardiac rehabilitation, you will work to support patients in recovery and rehabilitation following cardiovascular disease alongside experienced colleagues. You focus on strengthening the patient's physical functional capacity, self-care ability, and quality of life through individualized training, advice, and education. The goal is to create conditions for a safe return to an active life and to prevent future cardiovascular events. Work is performed in both inpatient and outpatient settings where you work independently but also in close collaboration with physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, and occupational therapists. As a physical therapist with us you will • be responsible for assessing physical capacity and functional ability in patients with cardiovascular disease • plan, implement, and follow up on individualized rehabilitation interventions and exercise programs • lead and support patients in group and individual training within cardiac rehabilitation • provide advice and education regarding physical activity, lifestyle habits, and self-care to promote long-term health • collaborate with other professionals to ensure person-centered and evidence-based rehabilitation • work with colleagues to drive development and quality improvement within the department.
