What does the job as a physiotherapist at Norlandia Äldreomsorg involve? As a physiotherapist, you are responsible for physiotherapy assessments to restore or maintain the elderly residents' physical health and preserve their functions. You are responsible for assessment, provision of trials, prescription and follow-up of assistive devices as well as training and guidance of nursing staff in rehabilitation-focused approaches, ergonomics and transfer techniques. Documentation, follow-up and evaluation of interventions as well as collaboration with other actors in the care chain are part of your profession. This is broad work with many contact points that demands independence and initiative. You are part of the facility's management team as well as the team around the elderly resident together with nurses, care staff and the facility manager. About Sätraåsens Äldreboende Here there are 72 modern apartments with dementia and care focus, distributed across 8 units and 4 floors. Our residents have access to a light therapy room that is furnished with a connection to the area around Gävle. In addition, we also offer a hair salon, common room and library. The facility is surrounded by a large pergola with water features, a greenhouse and garden beds. Occupational therapist and physiotherapist are on site during daytime, Monday-Friday and are responsible for physical activities such as walking groups and chair exercise classes.
