About the Workplace
The Culture and Leisure Department is now seeking an engaged function manager and music teacher for the cultural school. With us, you will be an important part of creating a safe and creative learning environment for our children and young people. Töreboda cultural school offers instruction in musical instruments, solo singing and choir singing, dance, drama/theater, and photography/film. The cultural school also offers a variety of ensembles that children and young people can participate in. As function manager for the cultural school, you work in close collaboration with the unit manager for the Culture and Leisure Department.
Job Responsibilities
As a half-time function manager for the cultural school, you are responsible for purchasing materials for the activities, administrative tasks related to the cultural school's facilities and digital systems. You plan and lead the work team and students at joint arrangements. Phone and email contact with guardians when registering for courses. Responsible for certain sound technology at the cultural school's arrangements.
As a half-time music teacher, we are seeking someone who can teach piano, flute, and guitar, but other instruments may also be relevant.
The position is full-time, but there is the possibility to apply for both roles separately. Work hours are arranged during daytime and evening, and weekend work occurs.
Qualifications
We are seeking someone with a pedagogical degree from a music university or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have good pedagogical ability and a strong commitment to supporting children and young people's development through cultural activities. You can spark and deepen students' interest in music and inspire and adapt teaching based on each student's individual conditions and needs. As a person, you are self-directed, structured, and responsible. At the same time, you work well in collaboration and communicate easily with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have good digital competence and feel confident using digital tools. Experience working in a cultural school is meritorious, as is experience leading activities and/or groups.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
As a function manager and teacher within the cultural school, you can expect a salary between 35 000 - 40 000 kr depending on experience and competence; individual salary setting applies.
Start date by agreement.
