About the Role
As a Senior Functional Safety Engineer at DXC/Luxoft, you will play a central role in ensuring the safety of electronic vehicle functions. You will work with functional safety at both system and software levels and ensure that development follows established safety processes and ISO 26262.
You will both lead and independently carry out safety-related activities, from safety concepts and risk analyses to verification and review. The role involves close collaboration with development teams, suppliers, and other specialists in an international automotive environment.
Your areas of responsibility will include:
Implement Functional Safety for electronic vehicle functions at both system and software levels.
Define Safety Concepts and work with activities within Safety Management.
Lead and conduct system safety activities such as TSC, Safety Case, and HARA.
Lead and conduct software-related safety activities, including safety requirements and safety architecture.
Lead and conduct safety analyses such as FMEA, FTA, and DFA.
Conduct verifications and confirmatory reviews.
Support projects and development teams in implementing safety processes according to ISO 26262.
Who Are We Looking For?
You have solid experience in Functional Safety within the automotive industry and feel confident both leading and independently carrying out safety-related activities. You have a deep understanding of ISO 26262 and experience working with complex and safety-critical systems.
For this role, we see that you have:
Certification as an AFSP (Automotive Functional Safety Professional) from SGS-TÜV Saar or equivalent certification from an accredited body.
At least 3 years of continuous practical experience leading or moderating work with H&R, FMEA, and FTA according to ISO 26262.
Senior-level competence in System Safety and ISO 26262, particularly Part 3, Part 4, and HARA.
Experience working with suppliers and in international development environments.
Experience with Teamcenter.
Experience with Car/SystemWeaver.
Very strong leadership and communication skills.
Very good knowledge of both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
Class B driver's license.
