Kärraskolan is a grades F-9 school located in central Kärra. It is surrounded by green spaces and has been largely newly built over the past few years. Approximately 820 students attend our school, of whom 35 are in adapted primary education. To create a good learning environment, we focus on knowledge, safety, and enjoyable learning. All students should have the opportunity to develop according to their abilities and circumstances.
Job Responsibilities
We are now seeking a recreation leader for Kärraskolan for a fixed-term position running through the end of spring term 2027. In collaboration with your colleagues in the after-school program, you organize, lead, and engage the student group in the after-school setting in consultation with the responsible teacher and in accordance with applicable guidelines. Your work together with the team provides students with opportunities for development and learning. You promote participation and influence and offer meaningful recreation for our students. You are responsible for recess supervision and developing recess activities, and you are a present adult in the school's shared spaces. During the school day, you also provide support in the classroom and collaborate with the class teacher.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is trained as a recreation leader, childcare worker, or equivalent. Alternatively, you have 2 years of work experience in an after-school program and basic eligibility for higher education studies. You need to have experience working in school activities. You must have strong command of Swedish, both spoken and written.
For this role, we are seeking someone with strong collaboration skills who works well with colleagues to achieve our school's goals. We also value someone who promotes a respectful work environment and builds good relationships with both colleagues, students, and parents. You have a particular ability to see each student based on their individual circumstances. As a person, you are calm and stable and have the ability to create a safe environment for all students. You also have strong skills in preventing and managing conflicts and acting professionally. We also value someone who is curious and wants to develop in their work.
