JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Would you like to be an important adult in students' daily lives and contribute to safety, development, and learning throughout the school day? We are seeking an engaged and confident recreation leader who wants to become part of our work in grade F3. As a recreation leader at Torsviks School, you are close to students throughout their entire day in the classroom, during breaks, in transitions, and at the after-school program. Together with teachers and other educators, you contribute to a safe, inclusive, and accessible environment where students have the opportunity to develop based on their different circumstances and needs. During the school day, you collaborate with teachers and serve as a resource in instruction. You support both groups and individual students and actively contribute to safety, study focus, and students' social development. You are present where the students are and have the ability to notice when a situation requires support, guidance, or an attentive adult. During leisure time, you help create meaningful, inspiring, and developmental activities based on students' needs, interests, and experiences. You plan and lead activities both indoors and outdoors together with your colleagues and contribute to developing the after-school program's activities in accordance with the curriculum's goals. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you if you enjoy working closely with children and want to make a difference in their daily lives. Your view of children is characterized by respect and a conviction that all students can and want to develop. You have high and positive expectations and actively work to create situations where students succeed. You are confident in your role and have an easy time building good relationships while being clear and setting boundaries. You meet students based on their different circumstances and adapt your approach and communication to the situation and needs. We believe that to thrive with us, you are responsible, empathetic, and solution-focused. You take initiative, see what needs to be done, and are comfortable working both independently and together with others. You are unpretentious, flexible, and see collaboration between school and after-school program as a given. We are looking for you to have completed child and youth education, recreation leader education, childcare education, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You need to have good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing. It is a merit if you have experience working in after-school programs or schools, preferably in grade F3, and in meeting students with different needs. Experience with safety work, group-strengthening activities, outdoor recreation, or outdoor pedagogy is also a merit. We place great weight on personal suitability. Employment Type: Permanent position. The Municipality applies individual salary setting. The position comprises 80% with start date by agreement. According to the Swedish Education Act, you must provide an extract from the police records before employment in preschool, school, and other work with children.
