JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a recreation leader to serve as a temporary replacement for one year for a colleague on parental leave. The position is broad and combines direct work with students with substitute coordination and certain administrative tasks.
As a recreation leader, you are a trusted and present adult in the school's student café, hallways, and other common areas. You work preventatively and promotively by building relationships with students, recognizing their needs, and contributing to a sense of safety and well-being. You also plan and conduct break-time activities.
You participate in the school's student health initiatives and can contribute to targeted interventions for individual students or student groups. The position may also include providing support to students with diabetes in accordance with established routines and self-care instructions.
Your responsibilities as a substitute coordinator include:
• Receiving staff absences, booking substitutes, and registering staffing in Time Care Pool.
• Compiling and distributing daily information to staff and students, and submitting absence logs to the school's administration.
You are also responsible for ordering and managing the budget for the student café, consumable materials, and portions of the school's teaching materials. The position includes following up on orders, receiving deliveries, and verifying that the correct materials have arrived. You also coordinate contact with the school photographer and prepare the photography schedule.
Job responsibilities can be adapted based on operational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with training as a recreation leader or other education that the employer considers relevant. It is beneficial if you have experience working with youth, preferably within school, leisure activities, or other educational settings.
It is also an advantage if you have experience with substitute coordination, staffing systems, purchasing, or administrative tasks.
To succeed in the role, you need to:
• be confident and relationship-building in interactions with young people
• be able to set clear and respectful boundaries
• be organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• be able to make quick decisions when staffing needs to be resolved
• have good digital skills and learn new systems easily
• be able to work both independently and collaboratively with others
• communicate well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
