Your Role
As a teacher for grades 7–9, you will primarily teach French. The position also includes teaching English. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction with a focus on students' knowledge development.
We are looking for someone who wants to spark students' interest in languages and help them develop both their communicative skills and understanding of other cultures and perspectives. You create structure, engagement, and clarity in the classroom and vary your instruction to meet students with different needs and backgrounds.
You work closely with your team and other colleagues and actively contribute to the school's development. With us, collaboration is a natural part of the role and we share responsibility for students' entire school day.
You are a clear adult presence in students' daily lives. At Fridaskolan, we see all adults as important role models. Meeting students with respect, clarity, and security is therefore a central part of the role.
You also meet with guardians and are an important part of the school community. Your ability to build trusting relationships and contribute to a positive climate at school is important.
We Are Looking for Someone Who
– is a certified teacher with qualifications to teach French in grades 7–9
– has qualifications or experience teaching English in grades 7–9
– is a confident and clear leader in the classroom
– has strong ability to build relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians
– is passionate about languages and wants to continue developing your instruction
– is organized, responsible, and has strong planning skills.
