Job Description
We are looking for someone who wants to be employed at AFRY and work primarily with our customers in the defense industry. The demand for FPGA expertise is growing and we need more specialists.
Our customers are global players in high-tech defense and security operations, active in aerospace, land, and maritime defense, civil security, and commercial aviation. They offer their customers effective solutions for surveillance, security, and decision support, as well as threat detection and protection. Technically, they are leaders in many areas and develop products and systems to deliver military capability, protect national security, and maintain critical information and infrastructure.
To succeed in this role, it is important that you can work in a structured manner and follow formal processes, as development is often security-critical. Regarding the development itself, you will work primarily with FPGA design and possibly verification. You are an important part in developing your customer's future products. In this role, you will also participate in other parts of the development process, such as system work, requirements management, testing, and delivery.

Since this position involves work covered by defense secrecy, you must undergo and be approved for a security clearance with background check.
To succeed in this role, you have:
Solid background with 3+ years of experience in FPGA development and/or verification, preferably both.
Good knowledge of VHDL, and preferably also Verilog and/or SystemVerilog.
Experience with multi-clock domains.
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required.
Swedish citizenship.
Residence in Sweden.
Merits if you have experience with:
System engineering.
Testbench design.
Work in security-classified operations.
IP block configuration and verification.
Backend work with timing and optimization, Place & Route.
Worked with sampling, high-speed interfaces.
UVM or other test frameworks and test methodology.
Lab experience.
