2 position(s). How much can foot health impact people's daily lives? More than you might think. With the right treatment and advice, pain can decrease, mobility can improve, and quality of life can increase. Now we are looking for two podiatrists who want to contribute to exactly that. With us, you get to work close to people and make a real difference – while becoming part of a team where we support each other and develop the operations together. Skellefte Municipality's podiatry services are directed at people receiving old-age pensions or at least 75 percent disability benefits. Our facilities are often located directly adjacent to the municipality's care and residential homes. The work group consists of dedicated podiatrists who together create a work environment with both job satisfaction and close collaboration. Selection and interviews are ongoing, so don't delay submitting your application. YOUR ROLE As a podiatrist, you work with medical foot care and contribute to preventing, treating, and alleviating foot problems among the people we meet in the operations. Through treatments, advice, and support in self-care, you help people maintain their mobility and quality of life. You work independently in meeting with individuals and are responsible for planning and carrying out treatments based on each person's needs. The role also includes sharing your knowledge with staff in the facilities, for example through information and advice at workplace meetings. Administrative tasks are part of the work, such as scheduling appointments, procurement, and documentation. Each podiatrist is responsible for two to three care and residential homes. Together as a work group, you conduct development work and contribute to strengthening knowledge about foot health in the facilities. Working hours are daytime with flexible working hours, which provides the opportunity to plan your workday based on the needs of the operations and individuals. YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE We are looking for someone with accredited education in medical foot care. If you have experience working as a podiatrist, we consider that a merit. It is also a merit if you have nursing assistant training or experience working with people with dementia or other disabilities. You need to be able to communicate in Swedish both verbally and in writing, as the work involves contact with people in the operations, collaboration with colleagues, and documentation. Since the work contains administrative tasks, you need to have some digital competence and be comfortable using operations systems for, for example, scheduling and documentation. To thrive in the role, you are responsible and work in a structured manner. You plan and organize your work well, so that treatments, bookings, and documentation are carried out in a clear and efficient way. You work independently in meeting with individuals and take responsibility for your assignment. At the same time, you have an easy time collaborating with others. You like to take initiative in meeting with people and have a natural ability to create trusting relationships. You contribute to an open and unpretentious collaboration where you together find good solutions in everyday life. When situations change, you have a solution-oriented approach and can quickly find ways forward. We also see that you are curious and open to new ways of working and like to contribute ideas that can develop the operations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. The position is subject to requirements for a criminal records certificate according to law. Prior to a possible offer of employment, you must present an extract from the criminal records register for work with elderly people or people with disabilities. You are responsible for ordering the correct extract from the Police Authority. YOUR NEW WORKPLACE The podiatry operations are part of care and services in Skellefte Municipality. Here we work together so that people can live as independently and well as possible. You become part of an engaged team where colleagues support each other and share both knowledge and experience. At the same time, you get independent work where you have great opportunities to plan and take responsibility for your assignment. As an employee in Skellefte Municipality, you have access to several benefits, such as wellness allowance, occupational health services, and opportunities for skills development. In addition, the municipality is a safe and stable employer where there are good opportunities to develop in your professional role. GOOD TO KNOW We recruit based on competence and focus on your experience, knowledge, and potential. Instead of a cover letter, you answer a few selection questions and attach an updated CV.
