Do you want to lead our Learning Administration and create excellent conditions for children, students, and employees to succeed? In Hudiksvall Municipality, you will take on a strategic leadership position where you, together with managers, employees, and elected officials, develop the municipality's educational activities. The Learning Administration is responsible for preschools, primary schools, after-school centers, and secondary schools, as well as adapted primary education, adapted secondary education, and adult education. We work toward equitable education where children and students have the opportunity to learn, develop, and reach their goals. The administration has approximately 1,300 employees and serves around 6,800 children and students, from preschool to secondary school. As Director of Learning Administration, you lead the administration through four directly subordinate operations managers, who in turn lead approximately 38 principals and unit managers. Your workplace is located in the municipal building Guldsmeden in central Hudiksvall, where the administration support and central student health services are also housed. You report to the Municipal Director, are part of the Municipal Director's management group, and contribute to the municipality's systemic and cross-municipal leadership. Responsibilities As Director of Learning Administration, you hold overall responsibility for operations, personnel, work environment, and finances within the Learning Committee's area of responsibility. You lead and monitor the operations managers' assignments and ensure they have a good and sustainable work environment. You lead the administration's work with the Learning Committee and work on the committee's assignment in close collaboration with its chair. You are responsible for preparing matters and providing well-supported decision documents. You also ensure that operations comply with national regulations, that political goals and decisions are implemented, and that results and goal achievement are monitored. In complex matters, you weigh different perspectives and take responsibility for the whole. A central part of the assignment is to lead and develop a coherent organization that meets changing needs resulting from demographic developments and upcoming reforms. This requires long-term thinking, clear priorities, and trust-based leadership that promotes responsibility, collaboration, and shared development. The assignment also includes: leading and coordinating educational activities with focus on quality, equity, and improved results, and contributing to a higher education level in the municipality developing school organization and ensuring strategic resource allocation and balanced finances strengthening systematic quality work and ensuring that decisions and development efforts are based on research, analysis, and operational results promoting trust-based and health-promoting leadership that creates participation, engagement, and a good work environment developing collaboration within the municipality and with regional school leaders, authorities, organizations, and other relevant actors Your Profile We are looking for someone who has: an academic degree equivalent to at least three years of full-time studies at least five years of documented management experience experience from educational activities experience leading other managers experience working in a politically governed organization good digital skills and familiarity with various operational systems good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing Meritorious Completed school director training Your Leadership We place special emphasis on your strategic and enabling leadership.
