Job Responsibilities Do you want to be part of developing preschool education and make a difference for children every day? We are looking for a lead preschool teacher who wants to take a leading role in pedagogical development work and together with colleagues create a safe, fun, and educational preschool of high quality. As a lead preschool teacher, you drive and develop the preschool's operations together with colleagues and the principal, based on the curriculum's objectives. Together you work to create a shared vision of teaching and learning processes. In this role, you lead and support colleagues in developing teaching based on scientific foundations and proven experience. You stay updated on current research relevant to preschool. You are also responsible for leading and developing forums for collegial learning based on the facility's needs and have an expanded responsibility in systematic quality work. Your duties include: lead development work that strengthens children's learning and development be a role model in teaching and education follow up, analyze, and develop teaching together with the team contribute to ensuring teaching maintains high and equitable quality As a lead preschool teacher, you will conduct teaching with at least 50% of your time in a child group in order to develop instruction. You will be employed at Bärbyvägen 24 where you will also conduct teaching in a child group, but the lead preschool teacher role also encompasses Brunstorpsvägen 41. Our preschools are located in a rural setting close to nature, which is a natural part of the children's daily life. Our operations are characterized by security, participation, and curiosity, where children's interests shape our learning environments and teaching. Our pedagogy is clearly Reggio Emilia-inspired, with Bärbyvägen having long experience and Brunstorpsvägen in an exciting development phase where this pedagogy is progressively strengthened. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed preschool teacher with at least six years of well-documented work experience with teaching in preschool. You can demonstrate your experience from one or more positions through documentation. You have excellent ability to systematically and continuously follow up, analyze, and develop teaching so that it promotes children's learning and development. You actively work with systematic quality work and drive the preschool's development toward set goals in collaboration with colleagues and the principal. You contribute knowledge about research and proven experience and have the ability to translate theory into practice. You lead collegial learning and support and challenge colleagues based on a scientific approach. You have a developed analytical ability and create engagement and good relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues. You see opportunities for changes that promote education and teaching development. It is meritorious if you have achieved merit level 2 within the professional program or have begun taking courses and/or participated in merit-earning practice-near research, in order to merit yourself to level two. It is also meritorious if you have previous experience working in a Reggio Emilia-inspired manner, preferably as a pedagogista, especially related to learning environments, children's exploration, pedagogical documentation, and project-based working methods. We would like to see that you have experience with a strengths-based and systemic approach that can contribute to our work together. If you have previous experience with assignments in pedagogical development, mentoring, or process leadership, that is also a great advantage. Experience working with children with special needs, language development approaches, and alternative communicative support is also meritorious. We warmly welcome your application!
