JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a Senior LSS and Social Services case handler, you hold an important function for coordination and quality within Authority Care. You will be one of two Senior LSS and Social Services case handlers in the section, working with care for persons with disabilities (Social Psychiatry and LSS). You will contribute to developing the quality of operations in consultation with your manager, and you will work closely with the section manager and another Senior LSS and Social Services case handler specializing in eldercare while supporting your manager, colleagues, and case handlers. You will collaborate with colleagues internally and cooperate with service providers and other partners, both internally and externally. Your main responsibilities will include: • Case distribution according to established procedures • Case and methodology guidance to case handlers • Participation in cooperation meetings with other authorities and organizations both externally and internally, primarily in individual cases/methodology development • Expanded authority to make decisions in individual cases, presenting cases in administrative boards and representing the board in administrative court • Methodology development in consultation with the section manager • Resource or co-case handler in complex matters • Continued work developing IBIC You will have overall responsibility and, together with a Senior Social Services case handler in eldercare, serve as user support for our operations system. Currently we use Treserva, but in spring 2027 we will transition to a new operations system, where you will have a key role in implementation. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking candidates with a degree in social work or another higher education or university degree that the employer deems equivalent. You are expected to have extensive knowledge of social welfare legislation: the Social Services Act, the Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Disabilities, the Administrative Procedure Act, and related social welfare laws. As a Senior LSS and Social Services case handler, you need good knowledge and experience in authority administration, both within the Social Services Act and the Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Disabilities. It is a merit if you have experience working with children, as LSS children fall under Authority Care. It is a merit if you have experience in a supervisory role, knowledge of IBIC, and experience in social work. As a Senior LSS and Social Services case handler, it is important that you can work independently and have the ability to make and communicate decisions, but also that you work well in groups and cooperate in various networks with internal and external contacts. You place the individual at the center of your work. You have good computer skills and excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. In the role of Senior LSS and Social Services case handler, it is important to be able to read, write, and interpret text. Great weight is placed on personal suitability.
