Staffansgårdens preschool consists of five age-based departments where learning environments and materials are adapted to the children's age, maturity, and interests. Between the departments are play halls that create natural meeting places for play, collaboration, and learning. Children are also offered inspiring environments in our atelier and water room, where creativity, creation, and exploration are encouraged. The preschool is surrounded by a large outdoor area with varied play environments for both younger and older children. In the older children's yard, there is a new play structure that challenges children in movement, motor skills, problem-solving, and interaction. We see the local environment as an important part of education and use it actively in our pedagogical work. Adjacent to the preschool is Stenebergsparken, an appreciated green area that offers rich opportunities for children to explore nature, play, and discover their surroundings. Staffanskyrkan and Brynäs centrum are also within walking distance and are used as learning environments where children investigate, ask questions, and develop their understanding of society. We also have our own kitchen where nutritious meals are prepared from scratch every day. DUTIES Together with your colleagues on the team, as a preschool teacher you have primary responsibility for education at the preschool. The work includes planning, implementation, documentation, and follow-up as well as evaluation of activities according to established goals and guidelines. Your duties include: • together with your colleagues on the team, you have primary responsibility for education at the preschool • you plan, implement, document, and follow up as well as evaluate activities according to established goals and guidelines QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • a degree from the preschool teacher program and preschool teacher certification with authorization to teach in preschool and preschool class, or ongoing preschool teacher program studies with degree by Jan 27 • familiarity with and knowledge of the preschool curriculum • good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing It is considered a merit if you have experience with AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication) and TAKK (Sign as Alternative and Augmentative Communication). It is also considered a merit if you have experience working at a multicultural preschool and working with children in need of special support.
