We are now seeking a substitute preschool teacher at Sångtrastens förskola until June 2027.
Located along the river at Färjestad, Sångtrastens förskola is a municipal preschool with six departments distributed across three teams. The preschool is situated in a calm and scenic area where forest, large green spaces, and inspiring outdoor environments create wonderful opportunities for play, learning, and exploration.
Our teaching is based on children's interests, experiences, and needs. We see each child as competent and curious and work to create a safe, inclusive, and developmental learning environment where children and adults thrive together.
Play-responsive teaching and an exploratory approach are a natural part of our pedagogy and permeate daily preschool life.
Job Responsibilities
As a preschool teacher, you have pedagogical responsibility for leading instruction in accordance with the preschool curriculum (Lpfö 18, revised 2025). You plan, implement, and follow up on education with a focus on children's safety, development, and learning.
You create learning environments that are safe, stimulating, and accessible to all children. An important part of the role is to document and analyze instruction as part of systematic quality work. You promote democratic values and children's rights and work for equality and inclusion. Together with colleagues and guardians, you create a holistic approach to children's learning and actively contribute to developing the activities.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a certified preschool teacher and who want to help create a safe, stimulating, and educational learning environment for each child. You plan, implement, and follow up on instruction based on the curriculum and adapt your approach according to the organization's needs and children's varying circumstances. You see possibilities in changes and contribute with innovative ideas that develop learning environments and work methods.
You collaborate well with colleagues and guardians and actively contribute to a positive work climate where you together take responsibility for developing the organization. In your work, you guide and inspire both children and colleagues through a clear and professional approach. You have a good understanding of the preschool's mission and see how your own work contributes to the whole, while using your pedagogical knowledge to create good conditions for children's learning, development, and well-being.
