We are seeking a cheerful and engaged preschool teacher who wants to help create an exciting and safe learning environment. Together with your colleagues, preschool teachers, and childcare staff, you will develop the program toward shared goals.
At Björndammens Förskola, children are offered rich opportunities for play and interaction. Through our pedagogical learning environments, children participate in fun and developmental activities throughout the day. The preschool's location near the forest provides opportunities for new knowledge in areas such as movement, nature science, and technology. We are located directly adjacent to Björndammens School, which naturally becomes part of the children's immediate environment.
An important part of the role is to support and inspire colleagues in work with language, communication, and language-development methods. You will also have an active role in developing and strengthening children's language abilities, which is one of our most important focus areas.
As support in our work, we have a clearly structured systematic quality process that guides us through the curriculum components. Within this area, we also have a special educator and a developmental educator who support the pedagogical staff and our work with children who need extra support during their time at preschool.
Qualifications
We are looking for a certified preschool teacher. Experience in outdoor education is a merit, as is experience working with children with neuropsychiatric conditions (NPF) and a good understanding of how the preschool's pedagogical environment and methods can be adapted to meet different children's needs. We particularly value experience creating inclusive and accessible learning environments and finding strategies that work within the existing group of children. You may also have experience supporting colleagues in adapting interactions, structure, communication, and pedagogical activities based on children's different circumstances.
We see that you are confident in your professional role and engaged in children's language development. You are responsive and skilled at meeting people according to their different needs, and you can convey knowledge in a clear and engaging way. You are also innovative and see opportunities to find creative solutions that lead to results.
