Smultronställets is centrally located in Häggvik, with close proximity to commuter trains and several schools. Our lush yard invites movement, play, and encounters. Here children cultivate vegetables and flowers in garden boxes and explore different forms of expression in our outdoor atelier.
We work inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, where democracy, belief in the competent child, active co-researching educators, multilingualism, pedagogical documentation, and exploratory learning environments are central elements. Our operations include both a pedagogista and an atelierista.
Job Responsibilities
As a preschool teacher at Smultronställets förskola, you have a central role in pedagogical work with focus on children's curiosity, learning, and development. Through a project-based and exploratory approach, you utilize children's thoughts, ideas, and questions and stimulate their development through play, creativity, and various learning processes.
The position includes planning, implementing, documenting, following up, and developing education together with the team. You work according to the facility's operating hours, which includes both openings and closings.
You actively work with language development and communication to give all children the opportunity to express themselves and participate according to their own abilities. As a preschool teacher, you are a democratic leader who builds positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues and contributes to an open work climate.
With an attentive and respectful approach, you see each child's feelings and needs and contribute to an operation where differences are seen as an asset. You work to ensure children feel secure, develop independence, and strengthen confidence in their own abilities.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who has an ease for creating and developing trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. You enjoy collaborating and actively contribute to a positive work climate where you drive operations forward together. Through your pedagogical insight, you can translate ideas and knowledge into practice and create conditions for children's learning, development, and participation. You are confident in your professional role, take responsibility for your assignment, and act with judgment and personal maturity. At the same time, you are flexible and have an ease for adapting to the facility's needs and conditions.
