About the Activity Milstengården preschool is looking for a driven and curious preschool teacher who, together with us, wants to develop stimulating learning environments and promote language and knowledge development in our children. Our preschool is one of the City of Borås's accredited units in literature. This means we base our teaching on dialogic read-alouds with a special focus on conversation during reading as the foundation for our instruction. Using imagination, creativity, and various reading methods, we meet children's curiosity and let their interests guide our content. We are mindful of the linguistically social, pedagogical, and physical environment and let children's interests, experiences, and needs guide our direction. We take into account each child's individual needs and what they are interested in exploring when we design our instruction. We believe that children have a hundred languages and that spoken language is only one of many ways to communicate. Therefore, we use various learning environments, materials, and aesthetic learning processes to promote communication in different ways. As a preschool teacher with us, you are responsible for leading and developing the department's activities in the direction of the city's, unit's, and curriculum's goals. You are responsible for instruction and for documenting, following up on, and analyzing children's development and learning. To make this possible, you have your own pedagogical development time and, in addition, reflection time in the learning team that provides the opportunity to follow up on goals and delve deeper into analysis. Our educators at the preschool have an attitude where curiosity, joy of discovery, and children's exploration should be supported, stimulated, and challenged, with a focus on children's learning and development. We are convinced that all children can succeed, and with us, children should feel confidence in their own ability - that they can, dare, and want to. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a preschool teacher with preschool teacher certification, have ambition to develop in your professional role, and preferably have your own ideas and drive. You are solution-focused, see preschool work as something dynamic, and are genuinely curious about both large and small people. Last but not least, you are a team player. We are particularly looking for you who have a strong interest in development issues and in the preschool's compensatory mission - language and knowledge development and social inclusion.
