About the Facility Bäckaryds Preschool is a preschool with approximately 52 children distributed across 3 departments. Gråsparven for ages 1-3, Bofinken for ages 3-5, and Joutsen, our Finnish-language department for ages 1-5. We have access to a town square, water atelier, and atelier. Two outdoor play areas that offer play and movement in various inspiring environments. The preschool has its own cook who prepares all meals from scratch. The preschool has beautiful and functional facilities and is located in a nearby area with plenty of green spaces, proximity to several schools, hospital, grocery store, town square, playgrounds, newly built activity park with urban gardening, library, and a 4H farm, as well as good bus connections to, for example, the city library, cultural center, and downtown. Responsibilities Here you will meet welcoming, cheerful, and engaged colleagues who work together for children's benefit! We are flexible, present, and have a good service mindset toward our families. We want to create pedagogical learning environments based on concepts such as rooms within rooms where we can challenge children's encounters with different materials and sensory experiences. The physical and psychological environment should create a feeling of security for everyone in the preschool. We share our knowledge and experience in collegial learning, thus providing opportunities for development both collegiately and in groups. Together with educators, you plan, implement, teach, analyze, evaluate, and develop activities based on the preschool's governing documents. We view pedagogical documentation as a tool and as part of our systematic quality work where we reflect on and evaluate development and learning processes in activities in a quality-assured manner. We constantly work to develop the work organization so that it becomes as good as possible for educators and activities. For this to succeed, the preschool offers at least 5 hours of planning time per week. You will receive an iPad as a work tool. During holidays, there is a separate schedule to take full days of planning time individually and in work teams. The preschool has a development group that works toward good activity development. Qualifications We are looking for you if you are a licensed preschool teacher. You should have a clear child focus, which should be reflected in your approach in daily meetings with children. You are a present educator who is engaged, courageous, positive, curious, creative, and has the ability to see each child as an individual based on their circumstances. We see that each educator has their personal strengths, based on experience, knowledge, and interest, and uses this to awaken curiosity and stimulate each child's learning, where children's influence is in focus.
