Do you want to contribute to better health for everyone? The Department of Global Public Health is an interdisciplinary institution aimed at deepening knowledge about how the health of the population can be improved at the local, national, and global level. Many of the department's researchers serve as scientific advisors to authorities and other decision-makers at regional, national, and international levels. The department is responsible for three international master's programs and researchers actively participate in teaching at undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. The department has 12 research groups, approximately 120 doctoral students, and about 140 employees. This position is located in the research group IMPAQT (Implementation and Quality). The IMPAQT group's goal is to generate knowledge about how to develop, implement, and evaluate strategies to improve healthcare quality globally. Your Role The research assistant will support work preparing research grant applications by assisting with writing research proposals and background work in the areas of healthcare systems, vaccination, and maternal and perinatal health. The work includes conducting literature reviews, compiling relevant data, and helping write and edit parts of funder applications. The role contributes to the development of high-quality applications that advance research on global health challenges and interventions. Additionally, the research assistant will contribute to overall project implementation as needed. This is a fixed-term position for 12 months at 100% employment. Who Are You? You should have: A master's degree in global health or a related field. Documented experience in research within global health, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC), in areas such as healthcare systems, infectious diseases, maternal and child health, or public health. Documented experience contributing to competitive research applications, particularly within programs such as EU Horizon, the Swedish Research Council, Forte, or Vinnova. Excellent ability to communicate in speech and writing in Swedish and English. Meritorious: Strong skills in literature reviews and evidence synthesis, including experience with databases (e.g., PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science) and systematic review tools such as Covidence. Scientific publications in global public health or related research fields, and knowledge of research ethics and research governance, including experience with ethics applications, informed consent, and regulatory processes. Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative data collection and analysis, including strong knowledge of relevant software (e.g., NVivo, SPSS, Stata, or Excel).
