With Presence – Prayer – Reconciliation as our guiding principles, the Church of Sweden in Lund is taking new steps to meet future challenges. The Church of Sweden in Lund is a pastorate with 7 congregations, 1 cathedral, 15 churches including one collaborative church with EFS, 3 chapels, and 2 preschools, funeral services, and an office. We also have a Hospital Church, Family Counseling, and a Diaconal Center. Here we employ over 200 people and numerous volunteers, including over 130 elected representatives. The Church Council has overall responsibility, and all operations are led by the Dean. Each congregation has a congregation council and a parish pastor.
Norra Nöbbelöv and Torns congregations border each other in northwestern Lund. The congregations aim, with a Christian foundation where the Gospel is central, to offer people a community characterized by mutual respect and trust. The congregations carry out rich programming directed toward different age groups, and we want to continue developing this work.
The congregations share a common work team of sixteen people with close cooperation, as the congregations have a shared parish pastor and most staff members work in both congregations. This also applies to this position, which is formally a 50% appointment in Norra Nöbbelöv congregation and 25% in Torns congregation. In practice, time is divided between the congregations.
The position requires membership in the Church of Sweden.
