Family Home Consultant Making a Difference for Children and Families! Do you want to work in a role where you make a daily difference in creating safety and better future opportunities for children? We're now looking for a committed family home consultant who wants to be an important part of our work supporting foster families and creating sustainable placements. About the Position As a family home consultant, you have a central role in recruiting, assessing, and mentoring foster families. You follow families throughout the entire placement period and serve as a trusted support for both foster families and commissioning partners. Your responsibilities include: Assessing and evaluating foster families. Providing support, mentoring, and guidance to foster families during ongoing placements. Participating in follow-up and collaboration meetings with municipalities and other partners. Planning and conducting training sessions, lectures, and family activities. Contributing to creating the best conditions for children's development and well-being. Participating in the matching process. You work from home and plan much of your own workday. Travel is a natural part of the role as you regularly visit foster families and attend meetings. During your introduction, parts of your training will take place at one of our offices. Who Are You? We're looking for someone with strong commitment to social work and motivated by making a real difference for children and families. We believe you'll succeed in this role if you: Are confident working independently and taking personal responsibility. Have strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills. Are flexible and enjoy a varied workday. Are attentive, empathetic, and have a professional approach. Build trusting relationships with foster families, partners, and colleagues. Communicate well both verbally and in writing. If you have personal experience as a foster family, we consider that a merit. Qualifications We're looking for someone with: A degree in social work or equivalent higher education. Preferably 2–4 years of experience working in foster care. Trust-based working hours apply, meaning you plan your own work schedule. Evening and weekend work occurs as needed based on operational requirements.
