About the Position

As a heavy vehicle mechanic at Södra Cell Mönsterås, you'll become an important part of an engaged team responsible for ensuring our vehicles operate safely and efficiently in daily operations.
What You'll Work With at Södra
In this role, you'll work on maintenance of various heavy vehicle types throughout the Mönsterås facility, such as wheel loaders, forklifts, and trucks. Your tasks will vary between planned preventive maintenance and urgent corrective work, making each day both varied and rewarding. You'll use your technical expertise in practice while contributing to high vehicle availability in operations.
You'll also be involved in investments in new vehicles, where you'll have the opportunity to influence future work methods and working environment. Looking ahead, the operation faces an exciting development toward more electrically powered vehicles, making this role especially interesting for someone who wants to be part of that journey.
You'll be part of a team of seven vehicle mechanics working in two shifts, Monday through Friday. The group is characterized by camaraderie, commitment, and a willingness to help one another – with an engaged and supportive manager who enjoys seeing people grow in their roles.
In short, you will:
work with both preventive and emergency maintenance
be involved in the development and investment of new vehicles
contribute to an operation moving toward greater electrification
This is a permanent, full-time position with shift work on-site in Mönsterås.
Who Are We Looking For?
We're looking for someone with vehicle technical training or equivalent experience working with vehicles, preferably with a focus on heavy vehicles. You have a driver's license, good Swedish language skills, and feel comfortable with basic computer use, as some troubleshooting is done digitally.
We believe you thrive working both independently and with others. You're solution-oriented, positive, and have a strong safety mindset in your work.
For us, attitude, collaboration, and a willingness to develop are just as important as your previous experience.
It's a plus if you have:
experience with heavy vehicle maintenance
certifications such as Hot Work, Fall Protection, or Crane Operation
experience with forklifts, wheel loaders, or similar equipment
