About the Client Company Konsultia is now seeking an experienced and independent vehicle mechanic for an exciting assignment with a client in the mining industry. You will work with service, maintenance, and repair of heavy vehicles and machinery in a modern mining environment. Your Tasks As a vehicle mechanic with us, you will have an important and independent role in the daily operation of the mine's vehicles and machinery. You are responsible for service, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance of mining vehicles and construction machinery. In this role, you work daytime, Monday through Thursday, and become an important link between the different work teams operating on a 7–7 shift schedule. You therefore need to be able to work independently, plan and prioritize your work, and have the ability to see what needs to be addressed before problems lead to unnecessary downtime. The work is performed both in an underground workshop and out in production, where field repairs and emergency interventions may occur. Job Responsibilities - Service and maintenance of mining vehicles and construction machinery - Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems - Preventive maintenance and follow-up of recurring issues - Emergency repairs in the workshop and in production - Plan and prioritize work tasks based on operational needs - Identify maintenance needs and ensure that measures are carried out - Document completed work in digital systems - Communicate and hand over information between work teams - Be responsible for inspection and self-checks of work equipment and facilities - Work actively according to applicable safety procedures and workplace requirements Your Profile We are looking for someone with a genuine technical interest and several years of experience in service, maintenance, and repair of heavy vehicles, construction machinery, or similar equipment. You are confident in your professional role and can independently troubleshoot, assess what needs to be done, and drive the work forward without needing detailed supervision. You see what needs to be prioritized and take responsibility for completing the tasks. Since the role involves contact with several work teams, it is important that you are communicative and can collaborate with different people. You also need to be able to take responsibility for ensuring that important information is passed on between shifts and that the work becomes a natural continuation from one work team to the next. As a person, you are solution-oriented, structured, and thorough. You have a high safety mindset and understand the importance of following procedures and working safely in a demanding underground environment. To succeed in the role, we see that you have - Secondary education (gymnasium) - Several years of experience with service and maintenance of heavy vehicles, construction machinery, or similar - Good experience with troubleshooting and repair - Ability to work independently and prioritize work tasks - Good understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems - Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written - Class B driver's license - Forklift and overhead crane certification - Hot Work Certificate Merits - Vehicle technology education with a focus on heavy vehicles or machinery - Experience with TechTool troubleshooting for trucks - Experience with TechTool and Prosis for construction machinery - Experience with Serdia and Deutz diagnostic systems - AC certification/training - Experience working underground or in a mining environment - Experience planning and prioritizing maintenance work - Experience coordinating or supporting other mechanics Other Information Working hours are daytime, Monday–Thursday. This position is a consulting assignment through Konsultia, where you will be employed by Konsultia and work at our client's site. For the right person, there are good opportunities for a longer employment and the possibility of transitioning to the client.
