The Role of Folk Education Developer As a folk education developer, you're a central part of our operations. You translate folk education ideas into practice and create meaningful learning processes together with participants, leaders, and associations. The role involves both strategic and operational work, from initiating collaborations and planning activities to following up on results and contributing to development at local, regional, and sometimes national levels. You work in a dynamic environment where you have considerable freedom to shape the programs, always with participants' needs and societal challenges in focus. The work consists of a combination of outreach, coordination, training, and administration. Tasks and Areas of Responsibility As a folk education developer, you're responsible for planning, implementing, and developing Studiefrämjandet's folk education programs, primarily within the profile areas of animals, nature, environment, and culture. Within the scope of this position, you develop folk education programs in close collaboration with associations, member organizations, municipalities, and other stakeholders. You support educational initiatives, train study circle leaders, and help develop programs and engagement. In this role, you will, among other things: Start and develop folk education programs Train and support study circle leaders, associations, and participants Build, develop, and maintain collaborations with associations, member organizations, municipalities, and other stakeholders Organize, arrange, and participate in various types of events and activities Coordinate and administer the programs Work with budget responsibility Your Profile We're looking for someone who is engaged, relationship-oriented, and has a genuine interest in folk education and our profile areas. You build trusting relationships easily and thrive in collaborations with people from different backgrounds. You take initiative, drive programs forward, and help develop activities together with others. As a person, you're organized, self-directed, and take responsibility. You have pedagogical skills and feel comfortable training, leading groups, and creating conditions for learning and engagement. You have good computer skills, experience with administrative tasks, and are comfortable with digital meeting tools. You also have basic financial understanding and express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. You share our vision that all people should have knowledge, strength, and space to participate in developing a sustainable and democratic society. Experience We're looking for someone with post-secondary education. Education in animals, nature, environment, culture, or related fields is a merit. It's a merit if you have experience from study associations, folk education, civil society, or other non-profit work. We'd appreciate if you have experience planning, coordinating, and developing programs, projects, or educational initiatives in collaboration with associations, organizations, or other stakeholders. An established network within animals, nature, environment, or culture, as well as in the association community in Nyköping, Gnesta, Oxelösund, and Trosa municipalities, is a merit. What We Offer This is a full-time position with an initial probationary period of six months. Start date by agreement. The position involves goal-based working hours with an average of 37.5 hours per week. Parts of the work take place in evenings and occasionally on weekends. The employment is covered by the collective agreement for Professionals in Civil Society. We use individual and differentiated salary setting. The position is based in Nyköping. Travel within the assignment's geographic area occurs. A driver's license (category B) is therefore required. The ability to use a vehicle when needed is an advantage.
