Your future responsibilities Financial assistance is part of individual and family care within the social care sector. The social care sector has approximately 300 employees and operates within disability services (LSS), social psychiatry, individual and family care, financial assistance, and a labor market unit. Financial assistance consists of six social workers and one coordinator. Financial assistance is part of the same unit as LSS authority functions and budget and debt advice. Work as a social worker in financial assistance consists of authority functions and social change work. The primary task as a social worker in financial assistance is to support individuals on their path to self-sufficiency and to investigate the right to financial assistance according to the Social Services Act. Social workers base their change work on the measurement study Employment Indicator Project (BIP). Our goal is qualified investigative work characterized by good treatment, well-founded decisions, and high legal security. It is rewarding work with great variety, different assignments, and many contacts that provide significant variation in work tasks. Support in daily work is provided through ongoing collaboration with colleagues, case supervision with the coordinator, and weekly methodology meetings. These methodology meetings also provide space for competency and development work. Working with the development of operations is part of the job. The work includes close collaboration with colleagues in the labor market unit. Cooperation also takes place with external parties such as the region, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and the Swedish Public Employment Service. Who are you? We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or equivalent education. Previous experience in authority functions is meritorious. We would like you to have good knowledge of applicable legislation, good empathetic ability, and good collaboration skills. The work tasks place high demands on personal responsibility and initiative. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and previous experience.
