We are currently seeking a Finnish-speaking preschool teacher for our Finnish-language department Lankarulla, at Spinneriets Preschool in Malmö. About the Workplace Malmö City and the Preschool Administration is a Finnish administrative area with responsibility for protecting and strengthening the Finnish language and children's opportunity to develop their cultural identity. Spinneriets Preschool has four departments and is located on floor two at Mobilia. Here you'll find Malmö City's only Finnish-language department, Lankarulla, where Finnish educators create a safe and stimulating environment for Finnish-speaking children. The preschool has modern, bright facilities and its own rooftop area for play and outdoor learning. Our principal's area includes four preschools with a strong leadership organization: three senior preschool teachers, three assistant principals, and one principal. Job Responsibilities As a preschool teacher in the Finnish-language department, you work with education and pedagogical development in Finnish. Together with an engaged team, you create inspiring learning environments, monitor children's development, and participate in continuous quality work. You contribute with creativity and pedagogical drive, shape the activities, and ensure that education is grounded in both linguistic and cultural foundations. As a preschool teacher with us, you work to create a safe, enjoyable, and educational preschool. You lead and develop pedagogical activities together with the rest of your team. As a preschool teacher, you have special responsibility for education, and work with the curriculum as your foundation, based on each child's knowledge, experience, and specific circumstances. All preschool teachers in Malmö City have five scheduled hours per week for reflection, documentation, and learning together with colleagues, while all educators in Malmö City have three hours per week allocated for the same purpose. Qualifications We seek someone with a preschool teacher degree and who speaks and writes Finnish fluently. In addition to Finnish, you need strong knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. We want you to bring engagement, creativity, and drive to develop our activities. You meet every child with respect and attentiveness. Of course, you maintain a professional approach and work for good relationships with guardians and colleagues. To be hired on a permanent basis as a preschool teacher, a preschool teacher license is required, according to the Education Act.
