Are you ready for a bigger challenge? We are now recruiting financial investigators for the Stockholm South police district and the Operational Support Section. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a financial investigator, you are expected to independently and in teams conduct financial investigations aimed at determining the scope of criminal networks and/or criminal activity, identifying, calculating and tracing proceeds of crime, funds for terrorist activities, or other assets that are or may become subject to forfeiture, and gathering evidence that can be used in criminal proceedings. A large part of the work involves obtaining, processing, analyzing and compiling information from banks and other financial institutions, as well as preparing and sometimes conducting interviews yourself. You must be able to present your analysis to investigation leaders and provide recommendations for decisions and/or further actions. The work is assignment-based, meaning you will work on multiple assignments simultaneously and must be able to work both independently and in teams. You are expected to share your knowledge and experience in criminal economics and financial investigation with your colleagues. The physical workplace is currently in Västberga, but varies depending on the case, and you must be prepared to serve throughout the Police District. QUALIFICATIONS This is an opportunity for you if you have: • Post-secondary education in economics/criminology/law or another field the employer deems relevant, such as a police academy degree. • At least two years of professional experience obtaining, handling and analyzing complex information using legislation and regulations as a foundation, for example economic analysis, auditing/accounting, or financial investigations. • Experience compiling and writing reports and/or decision support materials. • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel. • Strong ability to express yourself orally and in writing in both Swedish and English. • Class B driver's license. We consider it a merit if you also have: • Experience with investigative work. • Experience preparing financial statements or other bookkeeping experience. • Knowledge of cryptocurrencies. Employment Type: Permanent position. Duration: Indefinite. Working Hours: Weekly planning 40 h/week. Interviews will be held in person at Västberga in weeks 45 and 46.
